King Prince & Pauper method

Hi guys, for those of you who are still struggling to lose weight, have you heard of the King/Prince/Pauper method? You might be eating 1200 calories a day, but what times are you taking in the calories? This can make a difference to your weight loss. The method is simple - eat like a King at breakfast (high calorie intake); a Prince at lunch (medium calorie intake) and a Pauper at dinner (low calories). Plan your meals so you don't end up gorging on a high-calorie dinner at the end of the day which is followed by sitting on the couch/sleeping. It also ensures you have a large breakfast which provides energy throughout the day - mix it up with different fruits/porridge/eggs/multi-grain toast/porridge/yoghurt etc. Good luck! 10 days ago

Great book

Hey, anyone living in Australia, last week I bought the book by Michelle Bridges (The Biggest Loser trainer) called "Crunch Time". It's *really* good. Goes over all the psychology of weight loss, a whole range of exercises to do and then a huge section on food. I really recommend it for anyone serious about losing weight and getting into shape. And best of all we can use TWYE to count the calories for us!! It's like 25 bucks from Kmart, AND she also has a small book (about 10 dollars I think) with basically every food you can think of and how many calories they are which is very reliable. So if you're serious about your weight loss, give it a go, I did and I feel I'm well on my way to losing some flab!! Also I have nothing to do with Michelle Bridges (I wish she was my trainer lol), this is just from an ordinary girl trying to help others... good luck guys!! Think positive 15 days ago

Keepin' It Real

The last few days have been tougher than I expected. I was counting on this diary to be my magic bullet. All I think about is what I will eat next. I can feel old habits re-emerging already and I have only been at this a week. On the plus side, I have been eating healthy and exercising more since I am now accountible to all my cyber pals. (: Target date still Thanksgiving. Tomorrow will be a better day. I want to keep my calories at 1200. 17 days ago

nothing helps...

well today's my 8th day i guess, i've never eaten more than 1000 - 1300 calories (often less), but today my scale wasn't realle friendly :(
so I've decided to diet the only way which hopefully helps: eating NOTHING and drinking lots of water!!
wish me luck to stand it :) 17 days ago

going to try something new

since everything that I have ever tried to lose weight I heard about twye on ABC news. i figured it is not something that I would normally do but I figured what else do I have to lose besides the pounds that I want to shed. I'm a senior in high school and so not comfortable with myself what so ever. I have been wanting to lose some pounds for a while now. hopefully this will help me. I will appreciate all support if any one cares to give any. thanks! and good luck to us all! God is always by our side. 22 days ago

no more excuses!

hey everyone, i am a new user hoping that this website will help me be motivated and excited to get healthy by eating right and excercise! i have been on a rollercoaster with my weight and am ready to take control. i have recently gained 20 lbs back that i worked hard losing last spring and have blamed it on stress and other issues which is no excuse for me so i now am taking a new approach to this and hope that you fellow TWYE ppl will send out some support and i return the favor! 24 days ago

TWYE Virgin

Hey everyone! I am new to this site and I have to say, it's been really helpful so far! I used to keep a food diary in the form of a notebook in my handbag but I kept forgetting to update it and I kept lying about what I had eaten (putting down 'fruit salad' instead of 'cookie'!). I am glued to my phone and it's so much easier to text my entries as soon as I have consumed them.

My trouble is exercise. I go to the gym religiously for 3-4 days and then I begin to ache so I give up. Then I kick myself for not losing anything. Does anyone have any exercise tips to keep me on track and motivated? xx about 1 month ago

weight help me please

Hi! I've only just started, and when I try to write the exact weight on an entry (for example, 90,3 kg) it only shows the first number (90). I've tried using a dot or a slash instead but to no avail. Is this really how the TWYE works, or is there something wrong? Thanks for any help. about 1 month ago

It starts today

I've been dieting on and off for years, but I can never seem to find one that works and that I can stick with. So now I'm resorting to TWYE. I read about it in a magazine and thought I should give it a go. I've tried nearly everything else! The healthy eating I can manage, it's the exercise part I always struggle with. But this time I have my boyfriend and my friends helping me, so hopefully I can stay motivated and keep on track! about 1 month ago

Getting on the wagon and not getting off again!

RIGHT! This is it! I'm getting back on the wagon. Every few months I say it and then after a day or 2 I give on up TWYE and dieting in general. I've got about 2 months until I go back to uni and I want to drop at least 1 jean size by then. Doable right? I'm living with my boyfriend for the summer in a city where none of my friends live so sometimes I don't find the motivation to go to classes or the gym alone but I just have to step it up!
I'm currently visiting my parents so I'm going to have to stock up on healthy snacks for the 8ish hour journey back home. Wish me luck :) x about 1 month ago

Cat_B87

AHH, Lost all motivation!

I haven't been on TWYE in 3 weeks! I've lost all motivation. My daily exercise routines have totally slowed down and i have completely lost control with my eating. I still try and take it easy but i have been really bad with snacking and "Night Time eating" Ugh. Help! Some words of motivation would really be of some help right now :( 2 months ago

Has anyone seen 'Food Inc.'?

This movie has changed my outlook on the foods that i am putting into my body.. i have started shopping at local farm markets that have 'home grown' organic frutis and veggies.. I suggest the movie, it opens up your eyes to alot! 2 months ago
